Welcome to the kingdom of Expresetos, where the people are mostly free and crime is all but stomped completely into the ground

The kingdom is ruled by a small court of men chosen for their skill in their respective fields, however only two of these are known of by the general populous. One of them is a knight who knows his way around the sword, some say he’s the best swordsman in the nation, and the other is a powerful sorcerer. Despite being well known not much more is known about them other than their professions and the tales spread around the small villages of their glory.

Even though the court may sound all powerful, they are ruled by a single man who stands above all else, a king who governs the land and rules it with an iron fist. If anyone were to say they knew more than the basics about this enigmatic figure they would be lying, as only the members of the court that he has personally appointed himself have even so much as seen his face.

You however are not a member of this court, although you had moved into town after hearing news that an opening as jester of the court had recently become a thing. You have wanted to be a member of said court ever since you were but a child, however you were unable to join because they obviously aren’t going to let a mere child into the castle. But today is the day for you to join, because on top of the fact that they need a new member you have also recently come of age and despite lacking the necessary headgear to become a jester you think you are up to the challenge.
